• Uploaded Documents: Vet records, medical documents, and insurance policies you choose to upload.
• Photos & Images: Cat photos you upload for AI scanning and profile purposes.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app to help us improve the experience.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the CatIntel app and its features
• Process AI wellness scans and generate informational insights
• Store and organise your cat's health records and history
• Send reminders for feeding, medication, and vet appointments
• Enable family sharing features between authorised users
• Generate vet-ready PDF summaries upon your request
• Process in-app purchases securely through Apple
• Improve and develop new features in the app

AI Processing & Third-Party Services

CatIntel uses artificial intelligence to analyse cat photos and uploaded documents. Images and documents you submit for AI analysis are processed by OpenAI's API in accordance with OpenAI's privacy policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Secure data storage and authentication
• OpenAI: AI image analysis and document extraction
• Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication and in-app purchases

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which is encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.

Cat photos and uploaded documents are stored in Firebase Storage with access restricted to your account and any family sharing members you have explicitly invited.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your information is only shared in the following limited circumstances:

• With family sharing members you have explicitly invited and authorised
• With third-party service providers (Firebase, OpenAI) solely to operate the app
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
